McBean Immigration Consulting Inc ("we", "us", "our") is a licensed Canadian immigration consulting firm located at 1978 Yonge St Suite 100s, Toronto, ON M4S 1Z7, Canada. Our practice is led by Minerva McCoon McBean, a Regulated Canadian Immigration Consultant (RCIC R712766) licensed by the College of Immigration and Citizenship Consultants (CICC).

This policy explains how we handle personal information collected through this website and in the course of providing our services. We follow the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and our professional obligations of confidentiality as CICC licensees.

We collect only what we need to respond to you and to do the work you retain us for.

Information you give us directly:

• Contact details — your name, email address and phone number — when you submit our contact form, book a consultation, or request a callback.
• Consultation details — the country you are writing from, your immigration goal, and any background you choose to share so we can assess your situation.
• Employer information — company name, industry, workforce details and hiring plans, when you use the LMIA Readiness Audit or contact us as an employer.
• Client file information — once you retain us, the documents and personal details required to prepare and submit an application to Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) or another authority.
• Payment information — processed by our payment provider. We do not receive or store your full card number.

Information collected automatically:

• Standard technical data such as IP address, browser type, device type, referring page and the pages you view on this site.
• Analytics and advertising identifiers set by cookies and similar technologies, as described in section 5.

We do not ask for, and request that you do not send us, sensitive information such as passport scans, medical records or financial statements through the website forms or by unencrypted email. Once you retain us we will tell you how to transmit documents securely.

• To respond to your enquiry and schedule or conduct a consultation.
• To assess your eligibility and advise you on the immigration pathways available to you.
• To prepare, submit and follow up on applications you retain us to handle.
• To process payments for consultations and professional fees.
• To send you information about your file, appointment reminders and, where you have asked for them, updates about immigration programs. You can unsubscribe from non-essential messages at any time.
• To operate, secure and improve this website, and to measure which pages and advertisements bring people to us.
• To meet our record-keeping, regulatory and legal obligations as CICC licensees.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not rent or trade our contact lists.

By submitting a form on this website you consent to our collecting and using the information in it for the purposes described above. Where the law requires express consent — for commercial electronic messages under Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation, for example — we ask for it separately.

You may withdraw your consent at any time by writing to us at info@canadanumberoneimmigration.com. Withdrawing consent may mean we can no longer provide a service that depends on the information, and it does not apply to records we are required to retain by law or by CICC rules.

This site uses cookies and similar technologies. Strictly necessary cookies keep the site working — they remember your language preference and secure your session — and cannot be switched off.

We also use analytics and advertising technologies to understand how people find and use the site, and to measure the results of our advertising:

• Google Analytics and Google Ads, provided by Google LLC, to measure site traffic and to record when a visit leads to a booking or enquiry.
• Meta Pixel, provided by Meta Platforms, Inc., to measure and target advertising on Facebook and Instagram.

These providers may set cookies that allow them to recognise your browser across sites. You can opt out of Google Analytics using Google's browser add-on, manage Google advertising personalisation in your Google account settings, and adjust Meta's advertising preferences in your Facebook or Instagram settings. Most browsers also let you block or delete cookies directly.

We disclose personal information only in these circumstances:

• Government authorities — when you retain us to prepare or submit an application, we provide the information in that application to IRCC, a provincial immigration authority, a visa office or another body, on your instructions.
• Service providers — hosting, database, email, scheduling, analytics and payment providers who process information on our behalf under contract, and only for the purposes we specify.
• Professional advisers — where a matter requires a lawyer or another regulated professional, and you have agreed to the referral.
• Legal requirements — where disclosure is required by law, by a court, or by the CICC in the course of a regulatory process.

Some of our service providers store or process data on servers located outside Canada, including in the United States. While information is in another country it is subject to that country's laws, and may be accessible to its courts and law-enforcement or national security authorities. We select providers that offer appropriate contractual and technical protections.

Enquiries that do not become files are kept for up to two years and then deleted. Client files are retained for at least the period required by the CICC's record-keeping requirements — currently six years after the file closes — after which they are securely destroyed. Accounting records are kept for the period required by the Canada Revenue Agency.

We use access controls, encryption in transit, row-level database security and reputable service providers, and we limit access to client information to the people who need it to do their work. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee the security of information you send us over the internet; if we become aware of a breach that creates a real risk of significant harm, we will notify you and the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada as PIPEDA requires.

You may ask us for access to the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it if it is wrong, or ask us to delete information we are not required to keep. Write to us at info@canadanumberoneimmigration.com and we will respond within 30 days. We may need to verify your identity before releasing information.

If you are not satisfied with our response, you may contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada at priv.gc.ca or 1-800-282-1376.

This website is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect information directly from children under 13. Where an application includes dependent children, their information is provided by a parent or guardian as part of the family's file.

We may update this policy as our practice or the law changes. The revision date at the top of this page shows when it was last changed. Material changes will be noted on this page.
