Healthcare Express Entry Update
HEALTHCARE EXPRESS ENTRY UPDATE
October 15, 2025|Immigration

Hey everyone — big news for healthcare professionals eyeing permanent residency in Canada.
🔔 What Happened
- In the latest Healthcare & Social Services draw, 2,500 invitations (ITAs) were issued.
- The CRS cut-off for this round was 470.
- This draw was category-based: IRCC targets candidates with work experience in healthcare and social services occupations.
💡 Why It Matters
- Health care is clearly a priority occupation stream for Canada — they’re using specialized draws to bring in more workers in this sector.
- A CRS cut-off of 470 is relatively “accessible” compared to more general draws, meaning if your score is competitive and your credentials are in order, this is your moment.
- Even if you weren’t invited this round, this signals continued opportunity — IRCC is likely to hold more healthcare draws as long as demand remains.
✔️ Tips If You’re in the Healthcare Sector
- Check eligibility — make sure your nursing, medical, allied health, or social services experience matches one of the eligible occupations.
- Strengthen your profile — language test, credential assessments, extra work experience, certifications, etc.
- Submit early / improve score — in case of tie-breakers, profiles submitted earlier often benefit.
- Stay updated — IRCC announces draws and categories; if you’re in the Express Entry pool, watch for “Healthcare & Social Services” draws.
Canada is doubling down on its commitment to bring in skilled healthcare talent — and that’s good news if you’re in the field
