IRCC invites 1,121 Provincial Nominee Program candidates

Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) issued 1,121 invitations to apply (ITAs) in a Provincial Nominee Program (PNP)-only Express Entry draw. Candidates needed a minimum Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score of 694 to qualify. 

This draw is the fourth in August, following three others earlier in the month, including a French-speaking proficiency draw, a PNP draw, and a Canadian Experience Class (CEC) draw. IRCC has been holding multiple draws every other week, focusing on PNP and CEC candidates to reduce the number of temporary residents and achieve the permanent resident targets set in the Immigration Levels Plan 2024-2026. 

IRCC aims to welcome 110,770 newcomers through Express Entry in 2024 and 117,500 in 2025.
