IRCC issues 400 ITA to CEC candidates in the latest Express Entry

Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) recently issued 400 Invitations to Apply (ITAs) to Canadian Experience Class (CEC) candidates in the latest Express Entry draw. Candidates needed a minimum Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score of 539. 

This was the second draw of the week, following a Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) draw on October 21, which required a minimum CRS score of 791. IRCC has been conducting frequent draws, often targeting CEC and PNP candidates, to meet its goals for reducing temporary residents and increasing permanent residents. The next Immigration Levels Plan, outlining targets for 2025-2027, is expected by November 1.

Express Entry manages applications for economic immigration programs, including the Federal Skilled Worker Program, CEC, and Federal Skilled Trades Program. Candidates are ranked based on factors such as age, education, and work experience. Higher scores are typically needed in PNP draws due to the 600 points awarded for provincial nominations.
