IRCC issues invitations to candidates in the year’s first EE Draw

IRCC has issued 471 Invitations to Apply (ITAs) in the first Express Entry draw of the year, targeting Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) candidates with a minimum CRS score of 793. This follows December’s draws, which focused on PNP and French language proficiency candidates, issuing 2,561 ITAs. In 2024, 

IRCC prioritized candidates from the Canadian Experience Class (CEC), PNP, and French-language categories and plans to continue this focus in 2025. These categories, alongside healthcare and trades occupations, align with IRCC’s “Federal Economic priorities” and “In-Canada Focus” categories, expected to account for most Express Entry admissions, targeting 124,680 landings this year.
